Focus: Divine and evil covenant:
|
Focal scripture: Genesis 17:7, Matthew 26:28
|
And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Genesis 17:7
|
For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28
|
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; Deuteronomy 30:19
|
Introduction
|
A covenant is an agreement between two or more people, which is legally binding on all the parties involved. It may be spoken words or written legal contract.
|
In the physical realm, it may be referred to as lease, deed, or legal contract, which is, or rather expected to be respected and abided by both sides.
|
A breach of contract triggers a legal consequence from one or more of the parties involved. A quintessence of physical contracts is those pertaining to landed properties, businesses, marriage etc.
|
Agreements or covenant is carried out in the presence of witnesses. For instance, in Deut. 30:19, God called “..Heaven and earth as witnesses…” So also the parties involved in a covenant may call witnesses, they so choose. In spiritual cases, Angels and unseen demons, hidden behind the scene, serve as witnesses.
|
Examples of Biblical covenants
|
1. Edenic Covenant: With this covenants, God mandates all humanity to procreate and have dominion.
|
2. Noahic covenant: In this covenants, God promises never again to destroy all life on Earth by a flood.
|
3. Abrahamic covenant: This was for Abraham, his seed, or offspring, both of natural birth descent and by adoption.
|
4. Mosaic covenant: This was made with Moses and the Israelite people at Horeb-Sinai,
|
5. Priestly covenant: This was between God, Aaron and his descendants, the Aaronic
|
priesthood.
|
6. Davidic covenant: This establishes David and his descendants as the kings of Israel.
|
7. The New Covenant: This is the climax of all of God’s covenants; made between Jesus Christ and all who accept his atonement for SIN; delivering them from spiritual death.
|
Classification of covenants
|
The two categories of the spiritual covenant are
|
A. Those between God and man; Divine covenants
|
B. Those between Satan and man; satanic covenants
|
2 Classifications of Divine covenants
|
Depending on the circumstances, covenants may be placed in, either.
|
a. Generic covenants: Example; Edenic covenant, Noahic covenant, Abrahamic covenant:
|
b. Specific covenants: The Priestly covenant, the Davidic covenant, the New covenant
|
Characteristics of covenants
|
From the aforementioned, covenants they may further be classified under particular or universal covenants. Furthermore, they could also be placed under conditional or unconditional covenants.
|
Covenant, as compared with programs on computer or apps on phones: Installation and Activation stages
|
Like programs and Apps, covenants perform specific functions in the lives of those involved. For a program or App to become operational on your computer or phone, you need to go through some stages, sometimes, unconsciously.
|
Some form of negotiation, agreements, installation, activation, and execution occurs before they become operationalized. Sometimes we go through these processes without even knowing we are doing so. For instance, as we press the buttons; ‘Next’, ‘Next’, ‘Next’, etc, we are making agreements, as questions pop up.
|
After the installation, to benefit from its use, you need to authenticate the user, and activate the software or program. Some operations of some programs on computer or phone operations is visible, but there are others that operate secretly at the background without our knowledge.
|
Whilst some of these secret programs and Apps are useful, others are harmful; for example, viruses.
|
Most times you might not be aware how and when they were installed, but you just know something is wrong somewhere; exactly how satanic covenants operate. They act as viruses in the life of Christians, slowing down their progress, etc.
|
Activation of Divine covenants
|
Aside from the universal or generic covenants, which run almost automatically, specific covenants, require some kind of activation to enable one to benefit from them. For instance, the New Covenant in the Blood of Jesus Christ depends on exercising one’s free will to partake in it. Divine covenants have their benefits and responsibilities.
|
Covenants are binding on successive generation Although Isaac, Jacob, and generation after they were not yet born when God had a covenant with
|
Abraham, it had a binding effect on them. In other words, covenants, by far, outlive the immediate generation directly involved.
|
For instance, past governments of various countries at certain stages of governance contract loans that are payable over say 30, 40, 50 years or more. Sooner or later, they exit power and some of those leaders even pass on. Much, much later children are born who never knew those leaders and had no hand in the contracting of those loans, yet directly or indirectly they are obliged to pay back those loans, trough taxes, etc. This is exactly how evil covenants operate.

Satanic covenants
|
Just as God had covenanted with people of old; with binding effect on successive generations, so also satanic covenants have a binding effect on children yet to be born. Also, it is important to know that just as computer viruses and malware is capable of operating secretly along with good computer programs for a long time, undetected, so satanic covenants can operate in the life God’s
|
3 Children, sometimes, undetected. Covenants may co-exist in the same life. But a sensitive Christian, who is honest to himself, will admit that something is just not right.
|
De-activation of covenants
|
For the smooth running of computers and phones, negative programs and viruses must be or need to be detected and de-activated. These same principles must apply to our spiritual life as Christians. We need to track negative covenants that have been installed in families, having a binding effect on our current generation and those yet to be born.
|
It is absolutely important to stress that just as good program and negative programs could co-exist in the computer, with conflicting effect, so divine covenant and satanic covenants could operate in the life of a believer, most often, without being aware. Ancient satanic covenants are in operation in many lives, which require urgent de-activation for a more fruitful Christian life to manifest.
|
Remember God said, “…And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Genesis 17:7
|
As always, the enemy of God seeks to mimics what he does. Most of our forefathers, for various reasons, entered a covenant with Satan. This explains why many Christians are in a state of bewilderment. Many Christians are asking themselves secret questions Gideon asked. Gideon asked an important question in Judges 6:13
|
“And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.” Judges 6:13
|
God’s response to Gideon
|
For Gideon to realize the full impact of God’s power, God gave Gideon an important
|
assignment, which when interpreted into our modern understanding will mean “go and deactivate the evil covenant of your father’s house.”
|
We must be ready to do just that. God said in Judges 6:25
|
“ ….. throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by
|
it: Judges 6:25
|
“He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.” Job 12:22.
|
“Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.” Psalm 124:7
|
Solution: Revelation and aggressive prayers are required
|
After praise and worship, switch to warfare with the following prayer points.
|
OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND PRAY THE FOLLOWING AGGRESSIVELY.
|
PRAYER POINTS
|
1. Father, I thank you for being revealer of secrets, in the omniscient name of Jesus.
|
2. Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, let my family be redeemed from all forms of vil covenants, in the deliverance name of Jesus.
|
3. By the blood of the Lamb of God, oh Lord, I revoke every satanic covenant in my foundation, holding me captive, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
|
4. Any power in my foundation, saying, ‘you are mine; you are mine”, scatter by fire and disappear forever, in the covenant-breaking name of Jesus.
|
5. Oh God, let your thunder blast annihilate any satanic blood-debt-collector in my bloodline, in the thunderous name of Jesus.
|
6. My Spirit, soul, body be delivered from every evil covenant of my father’s house, in the rescuing name of Jesus
|
7. Covenants of limitation, setback, tragedy, break by fire, in the authoritative name of Jesus.
|
8. By the superior covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ, I de-activate any satanic covenant operating secretly unbeknown to me, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
|
9. Any sickness, disease, premature death, tracking me, due to any secret covenant in my bloodline, be destroyed by fire, in the powerful name of Jesus.
|
10. Any tragedy-in-waiting (accidents, etc. name them), due to evil covenant, be de-program by fire, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth
|
11. My life, receive the mantle of fire, become unstoppable in the name of Jesus.
